a web site?

answerPre-planning for a web site is the best way to reduce development costs and timelines. By planning out how the web site will look and function along with identifying and creating content, the job of actually creating the site will be much more efficient.

questionWhat do I need to have a
web site?

answerAt minimum, you need a name for your web site (myexample.com) that is registered with a registrar like Network Solutions or GoDaddy. Next, you need a hosting provider to actually host your web site files and email. Lastly, you need the actual files that make up your web site.

questionWhat is SSL?
answerSSL is short Secure Socket Layer. This is basically a computer communication protocol that encrypts data sent over the Internet so that only the sending and receiving host can view the data being transmitted.

questionWhat is FTP?
answerFTP, short for File Transfer Protocol is used to upload and download files from servers over the Internet.

questionWhat is DNS?
answerDNS stands for Domain Name Service and it used to allow a computer on the Internet to have a name, like www.myexample.com. This name is mapped to an IP address in a DNS database.

questionWhat is required to start service?
answerA call or email is sufficient to setup the initial service. For all business, corporate, and education clients a consulting agreement will be drafted outlines the scope of work and terms.

questionDo you charge for initial visit?
answerWe provide a free 1 hour onsite consultation to all new customers to discuss their needs. If any actual work is done, the hourly rate will apply.

questionWhen is payment due for services rendered?
answerFor new customers, payment is due upon receipt. After a contract has been signed, all payments will be due 30 days after being sent.
